Many visitors coming by car also choose to relax by using the local bus network when they arrive, or use the bus to park, ride and walk back to the car to enjoy the many superb linear walking opportunities along the coast or through the valleys.


Swansea Bay is very accessible by train and coach from almost any part of the UK. There are direct trains every hour from London, Reading, Cardiff and Crewe and Manchester to Port Talbot, Neath and Swansea (though Manchester trains are less frequent on Sundays).

There are lots of hotels and guest houses close to these three principal train and coach stations, and frequent buses take you deep into the wonderful countryside and coastline around Swansea Bay, where there also excellent places to stay.

Local residents and their guests in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas will find this website equally useful to help discover their rich local heritage in a more sustainable way.
