NEATH BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT: A VISITOR GUIDE

Neath  is an old established town which dates back to Roman times (the remains of the Roman fort of Nidum are to be found alongside Neath Abbey Road). Today it is a thriving market town with a lot of history and a truly wonderful hinterland; an excellent centre for all sorts of activities. It has a number of interesting features and attractions, from a Norman 12th century castle; an extensive covered market; the old parish church of St Thomas dating from the 14th century; and a 19th century Doric town hall. With a network of bus services from the centrally sited Bus Station, it is easy to explore the many walks and attractions in its hinterland.

This guide is aimed equally at visitors to Neath and local residents wishing to travel to interesting places in the area. It has everything you need to know about travelling to and around Neath.
