WALK 6: CILFREW - CADOXTON CRAIG GWLADUS WALK

Distance: 2 miles, 3 kilometres.

Terrain: Level or gently descending path, easy; allow one hour.

Start: Cilfrew March Hywel Bus Terminus; Grid reference SN771005

Bus there: Mondays to Saturdays: First Cymru Service 154 from Neath (connections from Swansea and Port Talbot);  frequency: every hour, daytime. Sundays: First Cymru Service 158 from Swansea and Neath; frequency: every hour daytime.

Walk: Alight at the top March Hywel stop and initially take the minor road to the left for 100 yards/90 metres; the signposted footpath is on the left and you will need to follow this behind the March Hywel estate and then on a level course on the side of Craig Gwladus until you reach a long incline on the left. This, a former tramroad incline, will lead you down to the A4109 road at Cadoxton where you turn right for the short walk to St Catwg’s Church and the Green Dragon pub.
